Here’s How To Get Pre-Approved for Your Home Loan


Getting pre-approved is the first legitimate step towards purchasing your new home. To get pre-approved, we verify your information and documents to determine how much you are able to borrow towards your new home. This will strengthen any offer you make for a house.

What Paperwork Will We Need?

In order to apply for a new mortgage, we will ask you to provide us with some documentation that we will need for the mortgage loan process. We will request a copy of your credit report from a credit agency and will verify the information provided in your loan application.

Be prepared to provide us with:

  • Social Security numbers for all borrowers
  • Copies of CHECKING and SAVINGS accounts statements for the past 2 MONTHS
  • Evidence of other ASSETS such as STOCKS, BONDS, OR 401K
  • W-2 FORMS or INCOME TAX RETURNS for the past 2 YEARS
  • The NAME and ADRESS of your EMPLOYER
  • RESIDENCE HISTORY for the past 2 YEARS
  • SALES CONTRACT for the purchase of a new home
  • HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION information (if applicable)

W-2s from past 2 years

Past two years of Personal Income Tax Returns
(self-employed or 25% or more income is from commission)

Past three years of Corporate Returns
Including K-1 [If self employed]

Most Recent 30-days of Pay-stubs


Bank Statements for the Most Recent 2  Months

Most Recent 401[k], IRA, Stock,Bond Statements


Homeowner’s Insurance Policy and Agent’s
